Jardin d’Acclimatation on the edge of the boid de boulogne became the forum for Obama fever in 2008.. Cheerleaders, cupcakes and country music are hitting the city of cabaret, crème brulée and Chanel. From this Saturday, April 11, through May 10, the Jardin d’Acclimatation, a 49-acre children’s park in the northern part of the Bois de Boulogne, is hosting a red-white-and-blue celebration called “Des Américains à Paris,” or “Americans in Paris.” For an entrance fee of only 2.70 euros, American expats hankering for a bit of home, tourists looking for a shot of kitsch in the capital of European refinement, or anyone with a renewed enthusiasm for all things American will want to consider this unlikely Parisian detour.  Read JON FROSCH's NYT blog..
